TEO's BIKE SHELTER
This was our first commission as team Hunker Down, built in the summer of 2020.
Located in Hampshire, we designed this cabin to take in the aspect of the flat countryside that can viewed whilst sitting at the desk.
Using reclaimed double glazing units, we had bespoke windows and does made to order by Bristol based carpenter J Pryor. The white oak floorboards were also reclaimed.
This cabin is off the grid, utilising the power of the solar panel and battery combo to charge laptops/phones and light the space. The wood-burning stove was handmade by Glastonbury Burners.
The mix of charred Accoya along the top edge, the windows and doors and the feather edge cladding combine traditional English and Scandinavian aesthetics.
