OAK PORCH

This porch was built to replace a cheap polycarbonate and pine version, which had been tacked onto a beautiful Grade 2 listed stone building nestled in the Black Mountains of Herefordshire. We took down the existing porch and replaced it with something much more in keeping with the heritage style of the house: a green oak frame clad with overlapping glass sheets of varying sizes, and huge slate slabs reclaimed from the walls of an outbuilding on site. We designed the frame and hand cut most of the joints - a labour of love and time but definitely one that paid dividends.
